Our Story

With over 20 years of experience in both public practice and private industry, Jordan saw the need to focus on businesses that are most in need for timely and accurate financial information. Jordan has vast experience in both the public and private sectors including a large cross-section of industries, but always had a passion for the hospitality industry. He has worked closely with owners and chefs to develop systems to track and report the information that matters most to the day to day operation.

Meez Accounting was started after noticing that the businesses we care about the most are often affected by costly accounting fees and delayed financial information. We want to change that; we want to take the knowledge we possess and apply it across the board to all industries. Everything has its place, or, mise-en-place.

Jordan Thachuk - owner

Jordan was born and raised just outside of Edmonton, but has done his fair share of travelling which has contributed to his love of the global tourism and hospitality industry. After completing his Bachelor of Management degree, Jordan lived and worked in Michigan, USA and Muscat, Oman as an accountant and financial professional in the hospitality industry. While working on his CPA modules, he started his own catering business. After 15 years of business and accounting experience, Jordan was looking to utilize his skills to support clients in a way that is more personal than traditional accounting firms. Jordan prides himself in making sure clients feel understood, prioritized, and cared for.
